Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate for the position of a Control Systems Engineer to join our dynamic and growing engineering team.. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, programming, and testing control systems for various industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop technical and testing documentation for control systems upgrades

• Design, development and testing of PLC, HMI and SCADA software

• Reverse engineering of legacy systems for the implementation of new control and associated equipment

• Commissioning of control systems, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with industry regulations

• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues in a timely manner

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success

• Client and engineering team engagement

Essential Requirements:

• A strong background in Software, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum of 2 years of experience

• Technical author experience creating technical documentation for control systems

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages (e.g. Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.)

• Experience with HMI design and programming

• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g. Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc.)

• Experience with electrical design and schematics

• Full clean driving licence

• Right to work in the UK

Desirable skills and experience:

• Project management experience

• Proven experience in converting PLC code from legacy systems to new platforms

• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards for the water industry

• Knowledge of network infrastructure design
